Information collected

Bedworth Lions Club may collect visitor traffic patterns and site use which enables us to improve the service we provide. We do not collect information which identifies any individual computer. Bedworth Lions Club may keep any information sent or given to us in providing our service to any individual or group; this is for the purposes of assisting that individual or group also our accounting & governance purposes.

Use of your information

We will use your information to provide and personalise our service. We may also use your contact details to communicate with you, as well as send you information about Bedworth Lions Club. We correspond with you by post, email, telephone, fax for these purposes.

Please note that there may be instances where it may be necessary for us to communicate with you, in any event, for administrative or operational reasons relating to our service to you.

We will not pass your personal data to anyone else unless it is with your expressed consent or with consent of a person acting for you e.g. a carer, medical or social practitioner. "Cookies" are small pieces of information held on your PC which our systems create and use to provide certain features.  Bedworth Lions Club does not use a logon system & does not use cookies to identify any individual user or computer. Cookies may used only to monitor visitor numbers to our web pages.

Why we have a Policy
All Lions Club Members have an obligation to safeguard the privacy & confidentiality of all users, and a duty not to disclose personal data without informed consent. Policy.
The general terms of this policy
It is the Bedworth lions Club policy not to disclose to third parties any information about individuals or families with whom we come into contact. We may however disclose information about community or similar groups we assist.

We shall avoid displaying the full information of individuals in such documents as minutes of club meetings.
Consent
1/Bedworth Club members are requested to sign a consent form indicating their agreement to data being stored, this solely for the purpose of administering their membership and allowing other Lions within the club to communicate with them. Members leaving the club have the right to have personal data removed immediately it is no longer required for administration of the lapsed membership.
2/ User services must indicate in writing that they have consent of the person or entity they are representing.
3/ Consent must be obtained for the use of images of people used in any publication by Bedworth Lions Club, the exception to this large groups of people at public events.
Control of printed matter.
Lions Club members who hold printed matter containing members personal data or the personal data of users should ensure this is kept in a locked area at home & any vehicle in which it is carried should be locked.
Control of digital data.
This should be stored as encrypted files, preferably my means of a separate encrypted USB drive which is held in a secure area of the Lion members home.
Legal disclosure.
Bedworth Lions Club Shall disclose to the Police, other law enforcement agencies, social services or similar departments if legally obliged so to do, or to prevent crime or abusive situations.
Request for Disclosure.
Bedworth Lions Club Shall disclose to any person any and all information held about them by Bedworth Lions Club. Request for this must be sent to the current person holding the post of Lion Secretary. A response must be made within 28 days.
Policy conflict with MD105 and English law.
Nothing in this document shall be in conflict with Lions Clubs MD105 policies or contrary to English law.
